Ride the Divide

Red River Rally, NM - 2001 Memorial Weekend

Fred, Nancy, Cathy and I left Friday afternoon and stayed at Mountain Home Lodge just outside of Antonito, CO for two days. Saturday we road over to Red River and Taos, NM. Sunday I had a flat rear tire on my bike, there went half the day. Did you ever try to get a tire fixed on Sunday morning Memorial weekend in rural Colorado? Sunday night we spent in Pagosa Springs, CO. Monday we rode home, the last hour we rode in the rain and hail.

John, Cathy, Nancy, and Fred on trip over to Red River from Antonito. Taken just North of the Colorado/New Mexico border. This is a high plains desert between two mountain ranges. The range behind us is 20 miles away from us and about 40 miles north of Red River, NM, where we are going.
We made it to Red River. Just arrived and getting ready to look around for awhile.
There were not many bikes early in the day. By mid afternoon the streets were packed with bikes.
