Ride the Divide

Cathy and I enjoy riding in the mountains and traveling to new places. Seldom in a hurry, we are able to enjoy the scenery and the people along the way. I once heard, "It is not the destination that is important, it is the journey." Most of our riding is in the Rocky Mountains, hence the title "Ride the Divide".

Passes and Divides

We have tried to stop at every Pass and Divide during our travels, it gives us an opportunity to enjoy the scenery and stretch our legs. Cathy and I have kept a photo journal of our motorcycle trips for the past several years. Rain (sometimes) or shine, "photo ops" are always on the schedule.

Some of the Colorado Passes and Divides [see Colorado Map] we have stopped at include:

Future Rides

Cathy and I plan a motorcycle vacation every year and hope to cross every Pass and Divide in Colorado. Ultimately, our goal is to traverse every Pass and Divide in the Rocky Mountain Range. While perhaps unattainable, we will have lots of fun trying.

Motorcycles

I ride a 1992 Harley-Davidson FLHS and Cathy rides a 1988 Harley-Davidson FXRS motorcycle. The suspension on the FXRShas been lowered to make the motorcycle easier for her to maneuver. These are great road bikes for traveling and touring, which is our prefered type of riding.
